Sam has been playing piano since the age of 8, double bass since the age of 11, and singing since the age of 14 (and also dabbles in cello, ukulele, melodica, and otamatone). He studied at the University of York for his BA and the University of Toronto for his MMus. In Brighton he works for Brighton Festival Youth Choir as their assistant music director.
Sam believes the learning experience of music should be fun and will encourage the student to explore different styles and let them flourish. Music is one of the most beautiful things someone can discover, and when you’re young is the perfect time for that to happen.
