Sophia is a second year music undergraduate and instrumental scholar at Oxford University, who combines her interests in historical musicology with a busy performance schedule. Sophia plays and teaches the piano and cello, receiving grade 8 distinction on both instruments by the time she was 13. As a previous recipient of a Steinway Scholarship, she has performed as a soloist at prestigious venues such as Steinway Hall and the Cadogan Hall in London, alongside participation in a variety of ensembles, orchestras and choirs.
Sophia is an organised and responsible tutor who uses her academic knowledge of music to enhance her teaching methods and has the ability to tailor her teaching style in order to inspire and bring out the best in her pupils, reflecting her passion and dedication to music.
