Lucy is a classically trained pianist, vocalist and accompanist currently studying at the University of Oxford. She previously studied at Chetham’s School of Music where she obtained her LRSM Piano Performance Diploma and performed in esteemed venues such as Bridgewater Hall, The Stoller Hall and The Wigmore Hall. She has also taken part and placed in numerous national and international competitions including the ETPA Competition, North London Emmanuel Festival, and the International Chopin Competition in Poland. Since starting university, Lucy has begun to pursue a career in academic music and been awarded the St Hugh’s Organ Scholarship, the RAM Instrumental Scholarship and an Academic Scholarship. She has found that her degree, whilst not a practical one, has greatly aided her performance and teaching skills. Lucy has found a passion for teaching and has had years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities. She enjoys sharing her expertise and navigating the challenges that teaching presents. Having a diverse and dynamic approach to teaching that is specifically tailored to the needs and goals of each individual student is central to her ethos. She hopes to set her students on a music path that is right for them.
