Josh is a tutor whose focus when teaching music is enjoyment. He believes that a relaxed yet structured approach to learning music, which is tailored to each individual student, can lead to lots of progress and even more importantly, fun, which is what learning music is primarily about!
Josh has Grade 8 distinctions in violin, piano and organ. He led the Southampton Youth and Peter Symonds College Orchestras, as well as co-leading the second violins of the English Schools Orchestra in 2013. He is currently reading Classics at Oxford University, but still plays in the different ensembles there, such as University College’s Martlett Ensemble.
Josh also has 5 years teaching experience, from teaching beginner’s piano and violin with 5 year olds to grade 8 aural with adults.
