Emma – piano, harp and clarinet teacher

Emma is a friendly and enthusiastic music student currently studying towards her BA degree in music at Bristol University. Emma has been exposed to all kinds of musicians with different abilities and strengths. Firstly she studied at the sage in Gateshead in a young musicians programme, performing in many concerts and festivals. She was also a member of the National Youth Choir before moving to Chethams School of Music in Manchester for three years where she played in multiple orchestras and chamber ensembles. Emma has played both principle clarinet and principle harp in Chethams Symphony Orchestra and was also a member of the chamber choir whilst having been conducted by both Jac Van Steen and John Rutter.

Emma has grade 8 distinction in harp, piano and clarinet as well as an ABRSM diploma on the clarinet. Emma’s exposure to all kinds of musicians has helped develop her abilities to teach in an engaging yet fun manner and whose main objective for her pupils is to enjoy the music they create and inspire them to be a well rounded musician whether they are doing it for examination or for a bit of fun.
